This error will appear when you have done a recent Windows update the error message will show when trying to sign into Egress Client for Windows.

Resolution

An easy resolution for this is to upgrade to the latest version of the Egress Client from our Desktop Client Downloads Page

If upgrading is not a viable option then the second workaround would be,

You will need to amend the Egress registry keys. This will Egress Client off Egress Secure32 TLS configuration and defaults to the Windows Secure32 settings 

To do so:

1. Open the Registry Editor:

2. Go to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Egress\SchannelandHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Egress\Schannel.

3. Right Click on add registry key called “Enforce” as a DWORD entry with the value 0

 

4. Once you have added these keys, close the SDXTray.exe process from Task Manager to restart the Egress Client.
