This page will provide guidance on steps you can take if the Egress Switch Outlook Add-in is not displayed.

Please note: if the user has the role of 'Read Only' the buttons in Outlook will not be displayed. If however the user is not a limited user please follow the steps below according to the version of Outlook that they are using.

MS Outlook 2003:

  1. Navigate to 'Tools' in the Outlook toolbar.

  2. Scroll down the tools menu and select 'Options'.

  3. Select 'Other' tab and then select 'Advanced Options'.

  4. Click 'COM Add-ins' and ensure that 'Egress Switch' or 'Switch' is ticked. Press 'OK' (A restart of Outlook may be required'.

MS Outlook 2007:

  1. Navigate to 'Tools' in the Outlook toolbar.

  2. Scroll down the Tools menu and select 'Trust Center'.

  3. Select 'Add-ins' and you will find a list of available MS Outlook Add-ins including Switch.

  4. If the Switch Add-in appears in the disabled list, select the drop down menu at the bottom of the screen and select 'Disabled Add-ins'. Press 'Go'.

  5. Select the Switch add-in and click 'Enable'. Click 'Close'.

  6. Select the drop down menu and select ‘COM Add-ins’. Press ‘Go’.

  7. Please ensure that ‘Egress Switch’ is ticked. Press ‘OK’ (A restart of Outlook may be required).

MS Outlook 2010/2013:

  1. Go to 'File' in the Outlook toolbar and select 'Options'.

  2. Select 'Add-ins' and you will see a list of active, inactive and disabled add-ins.

  3. If the Switch Add-in appears in the disabled list, select the drop down menu at the bottom of the screen and select 'Disabled Add-ins'. Press 'Go'.

  4. Select the Switch add-in and click 'Enable'. Click 'Close'.

  5. Select the drop down menu and select ‘COM Add-ins’. Press ‘Go’.

  6. Please ensure that ‘Egress Switch’ is ticked. Press ‘OK’ (A restart of Outlook may be required).
