Following a recent Windows update, you may receive a 'SECUR32.dll is missing' error message when signing into the Egress Client for Windows.
This can easily be resolved by upgrading to version 4.81 of the Egress Client or higher from our Desktop Client Downloads Page.
If upgrading to this version is not an option...
You can also amend the Egress Egress registry keys. This will switch off the Egress Secure32 TLS configuration and defaults to the Windows Secure32 settings.
To do so:
- Open the Registry Editor and add "Enforce" as a DWORD entry with the value of 0 in the following locations:
- If the "Schannel" key does not exist, create it in both paths.
- Once you have added these keys, close the SDXTray.exe process from Task Manager to restart the Egress Client.
